Abstract
Basic research in 2022 has yielded exciting discoveries and advancements in thyroidology. I had the honor to be invited as the speaker for the ‘‘Year in Thyroidology: Basic Science” plenary session, which opened the 91st Annual Meeting of the American Thyroid Association (ATA). For this lecture, I selected and summarized what I believe are the most well-executed and impactful studies published between October 2021 and September 2022. This report covers the articles and the findings highlighted in my talk.
