Abdominal hernias are a common clinical problem. They have been discussed in the ultrasound literature,and evaluation can be a diagnostic challenge. This case study demonstrates ultrasound as the best imaging modality in a pediatric aged patient. When the sonographer understands the dynamics of the inguinal hernia and how to assess it,the examination is quick and definitive.
