The second annual Membrane Physiology Symposium was held again in Napa, California, making this new West Coast conference hosted by Nanion Technologies an official and welcome addition to the international ion channel meeting calendar. Despite mounting US travel and funding restrictions, over a hundred scientists and exhibitors attended from the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom to enjoy a variety of high-quality talks on membrane biophysics, ion channel structure–function, and drug discovery.
