Abstract
Enterprise Architecture modeling is increasingly critical in contemporary organisations undergoing transformation. Modelling an enterprise is a complex task that requires multi-level abstraction skills. ArchiMate, the Enterprise Architecture Modelling Language from The Open Group, enables a systemic and multi-layered view of enterprises. This case study, centred on Drone PLC, a fictional drone manufacturer, adopts a serious game approach to engage learners in realistic modeling activities. The dataset provides all the necessary information for modeling single-layer and multi-layered perspectives, covering Motivation, Strategy, Business, Application, Technology, and Physical domains. Learners are guided through best practices and patterns using Archi, an open source software tool dedicated to ArchiMate. Designed for graduate students and early-career professionals in Enterprise Architecture or Management Information Systems, this case fosters progressive learning from basic concepts to advanced multi-layered integration. By simulating real-world challenges, it develops practical and theoretical skills highly valued by contemporary organisations.
