Abstract

Walsh, A. D., Nguyen, L. T., & Binder, M. D. miRNAs in Microglia: Important Players in Multiple Sclerosis Pathology. ASN Neuro. January 2021. doi:10.1177/1759091420981182
In the above article, the authors found an error in Figure 3. The error is related to the top left of the figure, which incorrectly attributed cytokine binding to toll like receptors (TLR). The corrected figure amends this mistake by changing the label to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and modifying the abbreviations in the figure legend to match the new term.
The figure and figure legend has been updated to correct the error and do not affect the main body of text.
New Figure 3 Legend text:
Figure 3. miRNAs regulate key inflammatory pathways in microglia. Schematic showing the complex regulation of TLR, JAK/STAT, TGFβ signaling by miRNAs. Microglia-enriched miRNAs target major signaling molecules and transcription factors to direct microglial phenotype into either a ‘neuroprotective’ or ‘neurotoxic’ state. Key miRNAs, such as miR-155 and miR-124 can influence multiple pathways and are considered ‘master regulators’ of microglial phenotype and function. Annotations.
