Abstract

At the request of Sage and the Editors, the following article has been retracted:
Liu Y, Li Q, Liang H, et al. MiR-34a Regulates Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Radiosensitivity by Targeting SIRT1. Technology in Cancer Research & Treatment. 2020;19. doi:10.1177/1533033820940424
Following publication of the article, a reader contacted the Editors with concerns around image integrity in the following:
1. In Fig. 2C, highly similar flow-cytometry plots representing the 2 Gy and 4 Gy conditions, as well as 6 Gy and 8 Gy conditions.
2. In Fig. 5E, highly similar flow-cytometry plots in groups SIRT1 siRNA and mimic+SIRT1 siRNA.
The authors were contacted for comment. For Fig. 2C, authors explained that intention was to present the data more clearly and accurately. For Fig. 5E, authors stated that there was no overlap between the images; however, following review by the Journal Editor, the image duplication concerns in both Fig. 2C and 5E were deemed to still be present.
Due to the unresolved concerns about image integrity, that call into question the validity of the findings, Sage and the Editors retract this article.
The authors did not respond to the decision to retract within the designated timeframe.
