The article “Continuity of Care and Risk of Readmission: An Investigation into the Healthcare Journey of Heart Failure Patients” won the 2020 Ralph Gomory Best Industry Studies Paper Award. This award recognizes the valuable contributions provided by academic research that is anchored in a deep understanding of industries. In this article, I discuss how my interactions with practitioners challenged me and ultimately shaped many critical aspects of the awarded study.
