Following the publication of this article, the authors discovered the following errors:
In the right-hand column of p. 300, line 6, the description was ‘The nicotine causes endothelium dysfunction, with a decrease in NO synthesis and an increase in endothelium-dependent'; it should have been ‘with a decrease in NO synthesis and an attenuation.’ The same error appeared in the legend on line 6 of Figure 9 as ‘synthesis in VEC and an increase in'; it should be ‘synthesis in VEC and an attenuation in endothelium-dependent'. If the description is ‘an increase', the intended conclusion is completely opposite.
