Abstract
We propose a technique for polishing inner capillary walls made of non-magnetic material utilizing a magnetic compound fluid. The principle and polishing characteristics are discussed. The fluid used has the features of both magnetic fluids and magneto-rheological fluids as it is a mixture of the two. Our polishing system employs a rotating field applied vertically with respect to the capillary in order to best utilize the fluid characteristics. The polishing mechanism involves abrasive particles aggregating at a certain section of the polished wall. Polishing is performed using magnetic pressure and magnetic clusters.
