Abstract
Magnetorheological fluid dampers have been utilized in vibration control for buildings and mechanical structures. We have proposed a magnetic functional fluid that composed of micrometers size iron particles and 10 nanometers size magnetite particles in a solvent as an advanced MR fluid. In this paper, three kind of MR fluids consisting of different proportions of particles are investigated.
