Abstract
Salicylaldimines with a phenylazo-group substituent have been prepared and reacted with BF3·Et2O in the presence of N,N-diisopropylethylamine to give novel N,O-bidentate boron difluoride complexes. Spectroscopic properties and thermal stability of the complexes are also reported.
