Abstract
Brachysides A and B, new lignan glucosides, have been isolated from the n-butanol soluble fraction of Caragana brachyantha, along with four known lignan glucosides, acanthoside B, tortoside B, lariciresinol 4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and pinoresinol 4,4'-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, reported for the first time from the genus Caragana. Antioxidant activities were evaluated by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging assay.
