The Crystal Structure of the Molybdenum Complex of [70]Fullerene Mo(ẽ 2 -C 70 )(CO) 2 (Phen)(Dbm) · 2C 3 H 8 O · 2.5H 2 O (Phen = 1,10-Phenanthroline,Dbm = Dibutyl Maleate)
The molybdenum complex of C70, [Mo(ẽ2-C70)(CO)2(phen)(dbm)] (1) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, dbm = dibutyl maleate) has been synthesised by heating a solution of C70 with [Mo(CO)2(phen)(dbm)2] in toluene followed by chromatography over silica gel and the crystal structure has been determined.
