A nonstandard group format of the Ammonses' Quick Test was administered to 40 third grade Acadian-French and 31 Anglophone children in Nova Scotia, Canada. The difference in mean scores for number of English words identified correctly was not statistically significant. The results are discussed in terms of the methodology of testing vocabulary and the additive value of English.
