In 2017, the World Workshop Classification system for periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions was developed. Thereafter, the British Society of Periodontology convened an implementation group to develop guidance on how the new classification system should be implemented in clinical practice in the UK. This paper covers answers to commonly asked questions on this new guidance.
