Abstract
Abstract
The regulation of process systems which may be described by linear multi-variable Laplace-transformed models having finite time delays is considered. Conventional frequency response methods are employed to assess relatively stability. A feedback strategy which will minimize the control effort required to confine output changes following disturbance inputs is employed. Typical process system models are investigated using output feedback. Computer-simulated response characteristics are presented.
