New design of robust H ∞ controllers for descriptor discrete time-varying delay equations with bounded disturbances

Abstract

In this paper, a linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based design of robust $H_{\infty }$ controllers for linear descriptor discrete-time delay equations is proposed. The existing works of FTS and $H_{\infty }$ control are extended to the linear descriptor equations subjected to time-varying delays and bounded disturbances. First, sufficient LMI-based conditions are given to ensure the admissibility of such system, and then the conditions are applied to design $H_{\infty }$ controllers. A numerical example with simulations is given to illustrate the proposed results.
