Abstract
The principal stages of a systemic approach to new autoclave processing technology and its development in current usage at Gipronickel Institute JS are discussed. The principal stages of the research programme are as follows: performance of batch laboratory technological studies; experimental determination of the kinetic characteristics of the process; mathematical model development; calculation of continuous industrial process indices; pilot testing in the continuous mode; comparison of the results received with those calculated on the basis of a mathematical model. Such a scheme of studies allows one to get the most complete information on the peculiarities of the process in question, and ensures its effective design and successful implementation at commercial scale.
