Abstract
Infantile hemangioendothelioma is the most common parotid gland tumor of infancy. It typically presents between two and four months of age as a rapidly growing mass. It is a benign condition that undergoes spontaneous regression and does not warrant intervention. Imaging plays a vital role in making an accurate diagnosis, thus helping to avoid biopsies in these young patients. In the appropriate clinical setting, sonography alone can assist in making a confident diagnosis, and magnetic resonance imaging is often reserved for atypical and/or complicated cases. The following case of hemangioendothelioma of the parotid gland was made based on characteristic sonographic features. No biopsy was performed, and it showed spontaneous regression during a one-year follow-up.
