Abstract
A binary latex system is described which meets several target criteria as a pressure sensitive adhesive on untreated polyester: improved humidity resistance (approx. 50% peel retention after seven days in a high humidity environment), good film clarity before and after humidity aging, no transfer failure mode and good cohe sive strength. A comparison is made to commercial acrylic latex material either fully formulated or as a binary system employing a new latex component as well. Superior performance is found with the new binary system in most performance areas.
