This is a study of the participation in women sportswriters at nine major metropolitan daily newspapers between 1988 and 2018. I have drawn samples from the sports front pages, drawing a sample of two randomly constructed weeks during the years 1988, 1993, 1998, 2013 and 2018. The study analyzes 3,700 articles during that period.
