Abstract
This article is a succinct account of the ideas of Gandhi on health and illness. Gandhi was an ardent follower of nature cure. He propagated the ideas of naturopathy not only in his own life but also resorted to others. He tried his best to avoid both Ayurvedic and Allopathic medicines. For him, health is to be viewed in holistic terms, including the psychological aspects. Today, many of the practices that Gandhi patronised are being recommended by the fraternity of the physicians.
