For its fortieth anniversary, the Bible Society of Malaysia launched two Malaysian Bibles—a formal translation, Alkitab Kudus Malaysia, and a study edition of a meaning-based translation, Alkitab Berita Baik Edisi Studi, in three cities in Malaysia. The long and difficult road to these two translations is described, along with the features of each version, and the benefits of these two translations for Malaysian Christians, especially when the two editions are used as two windows in tandem.
