Abstract
This study examines the potential of launching a dedicated YouTube channel and other social media platforms to enhance the digital teaching, learning, and outreach of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). Through semi-structured interviews with 21 respondents—comprising faculty members, administrative staff, and community stakeholders—the study explores how digital media can improve accessibility to education, facilitate community engagement, and boost institutional visibility both locally and globally. Findings indicate that video content can create a flexible learning environment, serve as a platform for promoting CVASU’s research and public service, and enable knowledge sharing with local farmers, entrepreneurs, and the academic community. Challenges identified include content management, technical infrastructure, and long-term maintenance. The study concludes that with strategic investment and planning, a dedicated YouTube channel could substantially enhance CVASU’s reach and impact in veterinary and allied education.
