La presenza di gas all'interno del canale vertebrale rappresenta un'evenienza poco comune. Tale reperto è stato individuato in un paziente traumatizzato con enfisema dorso-lombare ed in paziente sottoposto ad intervento di chirurgia digestiva mediante anestesia peridurale. In entrambi i casi la TC dimostra con accuratezza la presenza e la localizzazione delle bolle gassose.
