The corresponding author H.M.A contacted Sage with a request to retract the article because data from a different experiment had been incorporated into the findings.
When contacted by Sage, authors A.S.H, M.R.A, A.H agreed with the retraction for the reasons specified by H.M.A.
K.A. disagreed with the request to retract and testified to the reliability of the data. They claimed that while three medicinal plants had been analysed, only data for Onosma bracteatum had been included in the article.
Sage’s investigation raised additional concerns regarding the details of the research process, author contributions, accuracy of the data and tortured phrases. 1 The authors did not respond to subsequent queries from Sage about these concerns.
Due to concerns around author contributions to this article, the accuracy of the data, as well as concerns around the integrity of the research process, Sage and the Journal Editor retract this article.
H.M.A. agreed with the decision and final notice. A.H. and M.R.A. did not respond to the final notice. A.S.H. and K.A. did not agree with the decision.
