Abstract
This paper reports the ergonomic evaluation of firefighters’ postures during the firefighting procedure based on EMG method. Collecting EMG data of postures of different comfort level under the condition of the posture database has been established. Obtaining posture samples for comfort evaluation through signal denoising and feature extraction. Several classifiers are used to verify the effectiveness of EMG evaluation methodology. The conclusion is expected to provide operation instruments for firefighters as well as a reference for product design related to firefighting activities.
