Abstract
Never before have the Philippines media given so much play to voters with disabilities than in the 2013 mid-term elections. Government and civil society initiatives to make electoral exercises disability-inclusive have increased media awareness of and attention to these voters. Of special interest is how two news organizations that got involved in the campaign advocating the political rights of persons with disabilities have managed the issues that hound journalists when they walk the tightrope between advocacy and impartial reporting.
