This paper documents the successful use of The Self-Directed Search to improve student retention in a hospitality school. This vocational/career test helps students to identify their talents and interests and to match them to hospitality job positions which require the same type of personality qualities as they have. This paper is based on five years of data collection and analysis at a private two year career college.
