The author shares his notes from writers, thinkers, poets, filmmakers, artists, and performers who worked with a sense of detachment. In addition to what he learns from reflective research, he uses these notes to help write sketches about youth and youth work. His goal is to create work that stands by itself. This allows him to see his experiences more clearly. To exemplify, he presents sketches from his collection Of Youth, an exploration of his youth unfolding over time.
