Abstract
In this article we present the most important conclusions from an NIMH-supported project that we have recently completed. The project, entitled "Programmatic Research on Planned Change Consultation, " was funded initially in 1979 by the Mental Health Services Development Branch, headed by Howard Davis. Two administrative supplements were subsequently provided to permit addition of this new segment to the initial research plan. This report is dedicated to the ever-inspiring memory of Howard Davis, who provided unfailing encouragement and very valuable intellectual illumination.
