Abstract
This study aimed to develop the “White Elephant Syndrome in Educational Administration Scale (WESEAS).” The WESEAS developed within the scope of the study consists of five subdimensions (Efficiency, Awareness, Waste, Planning, and Stakeholder) and 22 items. The reliability analysis of the scale was generally found to be “highly reliable” with a Cronbach Alpha coefficient of 0.815, and the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fit values were good and acceptable. The WESEAS emphasizes the importance of efficient use of the scarce resources allocated to education and makes an important contribution to such measurement tools that are missing in the literature.
