Abstract
This article is an autobiographical retrospective on the career of the last surviving contributor to the famous 25th anniversary edition of Simulation & Gaming. The article traces the career of one gamer, and through it, shows major trends in simulation and gaming since 1969. It therefore discusses the rise and decline, rise and decline, and rise of the field over the past century. Some special attention is paid to the author's involvement in the World Gaming Scandal and the release of previously unknown information about the people involved in it.
