This research paper explores the usage of Organizational Role Stress Scale (ORS) in assessing the role stress of employees. Data for analyses have been collected from Indian Administrative Officers, Tamil Nadu Cadre. The instrument is empirically tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis Approach as it helps in determining the “goodness of fit” of the predetermined factor model. The construct validity, convergent validity and the content validity of the scale is tested. The findings provide evidence of validity and also the reliability as a measure of role stress.
