Abstract
The contact pressure distribution computation model was established to evaluate the internal and external sealing performance of packer rubber. And the results show that the internal sealing performance of packer rubber may be lower than the external side. The weights of the key parameters which influence the internal and external sealing performance of the rubber tube are obtained by calculation. The optimized structural parameters are obtained by genetic algorithm, and the sealing performance is increased by 21%. The research work is significant to improve the packer’s sealing performance and adapt deep shale gas wells ultra-high pressure fracturing conditions.
