Abstract
Since the approval of the SDGs by the United Nations in 2015, public and private institutions worldwide have been working to meet the global goals identified in the 17 SDGs. This research is based on the analysis of the contribution of universities in Kazakhstan on these challenges to promote sustainability. In particular, drawing on the Strategic Social Responsibility (SSR) framework, this study explores how universities in Kazakhstan develop and enact Strategic Social Responsibilities in the process of integrating SDGs into their strategic and operational practices, and how these processes contribute to observable sustainability-related outcomes.
