Abstract
A series of carbon black (CB) filled styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) composites have been prepared with different dosage of CB content, viz. 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, and 90 phr. The prepared composites have been characterized for electrical properties such as volume resistivity and breakdown voltage. The effect of volume fraction of conducting filler, temperature, and voltage on these properties were established. The normalized capacitance and breakdown voltage have been calculated theoretically using mathematical models and the results are correlated with the experimental results.
