Abstract
This article presents an analysis and conceptualization of the use of group processes and group settings for the treatment and rehabilitation of marital relations in the aftermath of parental bereavement. In this article, we describe the extreme trauma of parental bereavement and the resultant turmoil that ensues in the marital relationship. The article conceptualizes the stages of the development in the matrix as transitional functions of the container for the participant couples, and describes the stages that enable the process, and are reflected in the transformative container of the couple’s relationship.
