Abstract
The Special Issue on Jordan explores various facets of the political survival of the Hashemite Kingdom. The question of Jordan’s survival has intrigued scholars since the country’s founding over a century ago, and it has gained greater urgency in light of the regional challenges the country has encountered in recent years. In this context, the articles featured in this issue offer diverse perspectives on understanding the resilience of the Jordanian regime in the face of external security threats or internal opposition and the ways in which it is manifested in local and international policies.
