Abstract
Suspended dust particles are harmful for human. Acoustic agglomeration is one interesting solution to remove dust. It is better than other techniques of dust removal, that is, Baghouse filter, ceramic filter and washing in terms of drop of temperature and pressure and cost. Agglomeration of fine dust particles bigger than PM 10 is studied in the article. Through modelling and characterisation acoustic parameters were fixed for less than two-micron particles. Separate chamber before electrostatic precipitator (ESP) with series of acoustic transducers for coagulation of agglomerated particles has been proposed as preconditioner to ESP. The proposed technique is promising in similar applications.
