Numerous studies have already shown the existence of a relationship between blood groups of the ABO system and certain vascular diseases: group A and atheromatous disease1,4,5,7,9,12; group A and deep venous thrombosis of the lower limbs6,11,13. However, no study has reported an association between varicose veins and the ABO blood groups.
The aim of this study was to investigate the possible existence of such an association.
