Abstract
This study examined the relationship between filament diameter and the microscopic morphology and mechanical properties of Fe-based coatings that were successfully created using plasma-enhanced high-speed arc spraying (PE-HAS). The findings indicate that the SB Coating, which has a wire diameter of 1.6 mm, has the best mechanical qualities, wear and corrosion resistance, and cross-section morphology. The outstanding organizational structure of the SB coating was responsible for the coatings’ stable friction coefficients of 0.35, 0.47, and 0.49 as well as their corrosion potentials of −1.007 V/SCE, −0.881 V/SCE, and −0.989 V/SCE, respectively.
