Abstract
A survey carried out in 1983 and updated in 1985 showed that 22 out of the 36 Research Associations offered business information or market research services. The size of the units varies, and the services offered range from business enquiry services only, through the collection and dissemination of statistics to the provision of full scale market research services. Most associations will answer enquires from non- members but have reservations about providing information to market research organisations which are in direct competition with them.
