The influence of business intelligence (BI) strategy on enterprise evaluation: A comparative analysis of California state and Jordanian markets

Abstract

This study investigates the Influence of business intelligence (BI) strategy on enterprise evaluation. It is a comparative study between California State and Jordan. The study’s sample comprises a total of 80 BI experts, with 40 individuals from California State and 40 from Jordan’s market. All participants have specialized expertise in BI. The Snowball Sampling Method is used to choose the intended participants. The research framework applied the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory. A 9-item questionnaire was utilized to gather responses to the main research question. Subsequently, a comparative analysis was conducted between California State and Jordan on this topic. The findings from participants in the California market indicate that BI facilitates easy evaluation of companies and significantly contributes to market competitiveness, reflecting a generally optimistic outlook on the transformative potential of BI within enterprises in California. In contrast, participants in the Jordanian market show that the perception of BI’s Influence on enterprise evaluation leans towards the negative in Jordan, representing a divergence from the more positive perspective observed in the Californian market on the role and influence of BI strategies in contemporary business contexts.
