Abstract
Creative giftedness is a high potential to produce ideas or products that are both novel and appropriate. Despite its growing recognition (e.g., in PISA assessments), schools face barriers like a lack of teacher training, a culture of testing that discourages risk-taking, and difficulties in identifying creatively gifted students. Overall, this field views creative giftedness as a complex, dynamic, and vital potential that requires a concerted, informed effort from the educational system to develop the competencies needed in the 21st century.
