The genus Choroterpes (Ephemeroptera: Leptophlebiidae) is recorded for the first time from Caldas department, Colombia. This genus was previously reported from South America, based on a Colombian material lacking precise locality data from Antioquia and Tolima departments, respectively. In this paper, the numerous nymphs were found associated with leaf litter in río Manso stream in the municipality of Norcasia, Caldas.
