The aim of this review is to discuss some issues regarding the design of pharmacokinetic experiments. The design of any individual experiment depends on whether the object of the experiment is model discrimination or parameter estimation. The methods for parameter estimation and model discrimination are presented. A brief review of identifiability of a model also is given.
