In order to provide a degree of seclusion forf loaters, the U. S. Forest Service has placed a cap on the numberof tours and clients the three river touroperators (outfitters) can put on the Chattooga River each day. This article presents evidence that, while weekend use has notgrown in fouryears, weekday use, which has not reached its cap, is continuing togrow. A temporal shift ofusers away from weekend use towards weekday use is postulated.
