Sorption measurements of acetone vapor (activity = 0.9 at 50°C) on oriented PET fibers indicated that sorption capacity does not decrease linearly with increasing crystallinity. It was found that the acetone uptake based on amor phous volume, when plotted vs crystallinity, passed through a minimum at 0.48 volume fraction crystallinity.
