NINE hundred and eighty nine people attending gen eral practices completed a questionnaire eliciting their views about tobacco smoking, a response rate of 89 per cent. The results showed strong support for restrictions on tobacco smoking in public places, a ban on cigarette advertising and a tighter enforce ment of the law prohibiting tobacco sales to people under 16.
